I finally made it to California! And I can finally say I can travel like a big kid now! After arriving in San Diego I lugged all 4 of my bags through the airport and onto a shuttle to the car rental agency. I got major stares for my 3 large suitcases (one even being almost as big as me). But I got my car rented and navigated myself to my aunts house, yes I finally felt like a big girl traveler now!
Once I had some lunch and said my hellos to family I hadn't seen in a while my mom and I headed out to do some exploring! We ventured over to La Jolla. First we drove around the Scripts Institute of Oceanography campus (their view of the Pacific is AMAZING), then we went to the Birch Aquarium, and then finally to La Jolla Cove to see the Sea Lions! The cove is this tiny little beach tucked into the rocks and there were so many people sunbathing and playing in the caves. Then there were the sea lions! Some were just lounging right along with all of the people and if you weren't careful you may step on them thinking they were a rock. There was one curious little guy who was swimming in and out of all of the snorkels and then crawling up on the beach to walk around through all the people! It was an experience for sure.
My first night in CA was spent having dinner with my family,
So that was day one in a nutshell. After being up for almost 24 hours straight, it was time for bed to prepare for day 2...
I finally learned how to comment on this thing !
